(More customer reviews)I certainly like the sturdiness of this step stool.However, the rail is useful only has something to add to the sturdiness of the product - not something I would hold onto going up and down.

The one thing that needs to change - there is no hook or anything to keep the step stool closed for storage.

(More customer reviews)For years I've had one of those metal one-step stools, which was OK for hanging small pictures and other simple things, but I had always wanted to buy a three-stepper with a rail to hang onto for safety.

By the time I got around to purchasing this practical item, I found that the three-stepper gave me vertigo, simply by looking at it.I shopped around Amazon and found a wooden two-step model but it looked too bulky, so I kept at it until I found this one.

I love it; it's perfect for me. Now I can not only hang larger pictures, I can also dust the tops of door-frames and handle other simple jobs with ease and safety.

Grannie's really stepping up in the world, and look how easy I am to please! Isn't that cool?

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 80 year-old mother, so she could sit while she does kitchen chores.

The stool is light-weight enough for her to move and provides a comfortable seat.

There are two drawbacks: the step part of the stool doesn't come out quite far enough, giving the feeling of instability. Also, I assumed the entire unit folded for storage, but this is not the case. Only the steps fold in.

Both of the above are minor drawbacks and I would recomend this item to anyone.

(More customer reviews)This step stool is not worth it - the steps that are shown extended in the photo connect only via a plastic groove in the red plastic cross bars shown on the legs of the stepstool.Therefore, when you move the stool, the steps flop along.You have to move them out yourself and put them back in yourself.They come off too easily so you are having to place them inside the groove whenever you move the stool/chair.The stool itself is very small and while this is OK for a stationary perching stool, it is NOT good for a step stool and too small and uncomfortable as a seat.

(More customer reviews)I was making plans to take my 86 year old mother to Las Vegas.She has a difficult time getting onto shuttles and busses, so I thought this step stool would be just what we needed.When folded, it is so small, I had no trouble carrying it with me everywhere we went up and down the Strip.My Mom was able to go everywhere she wanted and do everything she wanted.And when we got stranded in Detroit overnight on the way back, the stool was a lifesaver on the shuttle to the hotel.The step was so high that everyone on the bus wanted to use the stool.I would recommend it to anyone considering buying it.
