The top protective layer is stuck under the edges and the top is not a solid surface and bubbled everywhere--it will fovever need a table cloth over it to be used without embarassment.

It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!

(More customer reviews)This stool is essentially an enlarged bicycle seat.Contrary to the product description, there is NO back support.The company I work for (a large website named after a river) requires its fulfillment center employees with desk jobs to use these stools.Since I am short and my feet don't touch the floor, I have a specially made step stool on which to rest my feet.How's that for high-tech?These stools are a nightmare: they may serve a purpose, but it is NOT to sit at a computer for 10-12 hours a day.

It has held up very well.
The glider mechanism works smoothly and quietly and allows your body to move naturally while playing, without being distracting.
It provides good back support and has helped me to improve my playing posture.
I'm glad that they're now offering more fabric and color options.
I just ordered new brown leather cushions for mine and I expect to get many more years of use from the chair.
I think the price is reasonable. I had done considerable research trying to find a well-built armless rocker or glider chair and found nothing comparable at any price.
I highly recommend this chair.

My wife and I use it to move around from table to countertop when preparing foods that take a considerable amount of time Neither of us can stand on our feet for very long so this item is perfect. No complaints at all.I did not purchase my stool from Amazon and I was disappointed in the shipping service but that has no bearing on the product. I can highly recommend this item, especially for senior citizens.

Northern Industrial Pneumatic Stool with Backrest Review

(More customer reviews)I was surprised at how difficult it was to find a decent stool with a backrest for my workshop.I almost didn't buy this one because of Frank's bad experience, but I'm glad I decided to take a chance.

This stool is rock solid.That's crucial for anyone, for safety's sake, but I weigh about three bucks and have a bad back, so if a stool was prone to wobbling, I'd be the one to wobble it.This thing doesn't budge.The padded seat is comfortable, as is the back rest, which is adjustable horizonatally (i.e., closer to your back, or farther away).The back rest is not adjustable vertically, but seems well placed, offering good support to the lower back.

My only beef, for which I'm not even going to knock off a star, is that the assembly instructions suck.There are no written instructions, per se, just some badly designed pictograms.Figuring out whether the legs go inside or outside the stabilizing ring is ticky, because if you look closely at the drawing, it does BOTH.The thing is like an Escher drawing.Since my workshop obeys the laws of physics, I had to ignore the drawing and figure it out for myself.Also, the kit comes with two very similar, but slightly different types of screws, and the directions give no hint as to which kind goes where.The only way I figured it out was to sort the screws and count the holes.

If you can figure out how to assemble things thing without decent instructions, you'll probably really like this workshop stool.And if you can't... well, then you're probably likely to lose a finger in a workshop accident anyway, and this stool will be the least of your problems.
