It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!

The directions were not very good & they were a bit difficult and time-consuming to assemble, but it was worth the effort. They are comfy and look great. There were just a few scuff marks on the wood, but they would be there in a month anyway. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Homelegance Scottsdale 3-Piece Counter Table and Stools Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the cherry wood colored set just last week.As an amazon prime member, the free shipping was great as shipping on other similar items w/o prime is $40-50.The package comes in one large box, with the items protected by styrofoam.Putting the table together was really easy with the tool that comes in the kit. Putting the two stools together was a little more complicated and required a screw driver and some arm work to drive the screws into the legs of the stool. Overall I got the whole thing set up in about 30-40 minutes.

The wood is a handsome deep cherry.The construction is solid and quite steady.The stools are sturdy as well and comfortable to sit on.The brown leather of the stool seats is quite soft and nicely textured.

Drawbacks to the table include that it isn't wide enough to fit two normally sized placemats across from each other.The short end of the table top is wide enough to fit a normal sized place mat but is uncomfortable for sitting at either end because of the bars which run vertically to support the table.

Overall this is a fantastic little table for a New York apartment. Definitely worth the $120 or so price tag.

I was delighted with the quality, too.Very sturdy and surprisingly comfortable for a chair with no back.They are hand-distressed - no lumps and bumps - just pretty distress marks in the finish.They seem to have a lot of laquer and are not rough at all.Mine are sitting on tile, but if your floor scratches easily you may want to put some felt pads on the bottom.The bottom of my table is white and the top is the same color as the stools, so the stools stand out against the white bottom of the table and the whole thing just looks great.

I purchased this for use with my counter-height table, which I use for a desk. After sitting for several days on a 29" stool I was rather shocked at the low height of this chair. The cushion squishes down 1-2 inches lower than the advertised height of the seat. After getting accustomed to the height I believe it is acceptable, probably even better for dining purposes though. If you like this style but have a higher surface consider the Hillsdale Delray Non Swivel Bar Stool instead.

Don't underestimate the pewter finish - the picture appears much more silver than the metal actually is.

Somewhat spendy, but I only needed one. Overall, satisfied with my purchase!

I initially thought they might be diffeent based on photos, but once I received them I recognized the detail, they were the same as the other places except I paid only $109.00 plus $28.49 for shipping...and yes there were two stools as advertised. I figured for that price there would only be one stool and the price was advertised incorrectly.They match my deep cherry cabinets perfectly, the seats are nice and big (unlike stools I've seen in retail stores),the wood appears to be good quality, and the seat is even nicer than I thought (I was hoping there would be no shine and there wasn't). My husband did have to put them together, but if you have the proper tools it's a quick job. They look high end, but in actuality cost me less than $70 each with shipping costs.I couldn't get this price anywhere. Shipping was as promised...quick...I am very satisfied with this purchase for quality with a very small pricetag!

Hillsdale Cierra Swivel Counter Stools Review

(More customer reviews)I needed 4 counter height stools that would fit at the end of a counter with a 24" x 51" overhang. These fit perfectly! 17" wide seats didn't take up too much room, so I could have 2 at the ends and 1 on each side. The black upholstry does seem to attract lint, but the fabric seems durable and has great padding on the seat and back-very comfortable, doesn't hurt my bony rear. My biggest complaint is the tapperd legs that flair out. The leg tips are on an angle at the floor and put many half moon shapped dents in our new oak floors. There are no chair glides available to fit these leg ends. I ended up putting 1/2" self adhesive felt pads on the leg ends. I expect they won't stay on long, so I'll have to keep and eye on them. The people at Hillsdale didn't have a solution for this problem, but they were understanding and pleasant. Too bad they didn't have a swivel chair glide to fit these legs. The stools assembled quickly, it helps to have someone sit on the stool when doing the final tightening of the screws so all the legs will sit evenly on the floor. I lucked out finding them at LNT which had a $99.99 price, with a B1g1 50% off sale and a 20% off coupon which totaled $129.98 for two. Best deal I could find. Overall these stools are very good, except for hardwood and vinyl floors, becaiuse of the dents the legs create.
