It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!

Construction
* Easy to put together.Much easier than a similar IKEA bar a friend of mine purchased and had me do.
* Has the IKEA-style process, but little add-ons like built-in bolts make it much more sturdy and less likely to fall apart.

Surface
* Great finish and size!
* Stable and does not even hint that games are stored just under the surface.Would have thought it was just a regular bar.

Games
* Nice felt finish to all the games.
* Roulette wheel and craps equipment are a little plastic-ey.
* Red is not as bright as I would like it and can be confused with black if you're not paying attention.

Storage
* Good amount of storage.
* Would be nice to have more wine, martini, and margarita glass space.Also would be better if it allowed wider-based glasses to fit in the glass rack.

Overall, I'm enjoying it so far.

Steamer Trunk Bars Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bar from Target.I placed my order at 3am on a Monday morning and it arrived at my house on Tuesday with free standard shipping. I wasn't expecting it to arrive for several more days, so it sat on my front porch much longer than I would have liked. Thank God my neighbors are honest!

The bar was very well packaged and nothing was damaged. I purchased the cherry stain and was pleasantly surprised that is wasn't nearly as red as it looks in the picture. The cherry is much more of a true dark brown with very little if any red at all.

My husband had it assembled in just a couple hours and said it wasn't incredibly hard. Although, he has always been very good at assembling furniture. He did need a second person to help hold the doors; luckily he had a friend over at the time. You must drill the holes for the doors and if they aren't absolutely perfect, opening and closing the doors will eventually mar the woodwork. Also, be sure you assemble everything in the order that it says in the instructions or you will find yourself back peddling.

With 15% off orders over $125, I saved $85 and another $45 with free shipping. Walmart sells this exact same piece but they only carry black and don't offer free shipping or "ship to store". Therefore Target was a much better deal.

The wood is very good quality, the color is perfect for my kitchen. When it is opened up, it also provides 60" of counter space which comes in handy. The thing I love the most, is there are tiny wheels on the bottom that you can't see when it's assembled. Which is a must have; I have already had to turn it around multiple times! I absolutely love this little bar!I will include some pics.

(More customer reviews)Setting up the bar was easy anf fast.We had it up in 15 mins.However the design of the bar is flawed in the sense that the bar can topple easily since it does not have any base.Also considerign we have carpet floors ,it is very wobbly.If only it had a base this would have taken care of the problem.

(More customer reviews)I bought this based on the picture here on Amazon.If you like how it looks in the picture, you'll love it when you get it.Mine arrived about two weeks after ordering - it had to be truck shipped from the California to New York.I am extremely happy with the quality of this product, especially when compared to the price.The finish is beautiful, a lot of depth to it.Plenty of storage behind the bar, though you'll have to remove the interior shelf in one of the cabinets if you want to store liquor bottles.Four screws and it is done.

I suggest being very careful attaching the brackets for the brass foot rail.There are no pre-drilled holes, which is as it should be, but you just don't want to go too deep when drilling the holes, or you'll pop through the other side inside the cabinets or behind the wine rack.

All-in-all, very happy with this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the cherry wood colored set just last week.As an amazon prime member, the free shipping was great as shipping on other similar items w/o prime is $40-50.The package comes in one large box, with the items protected by styrofoam.Putting the table together was really easy with the tool that comes in the kit. Putting the two stools together was a little more complicated and required a screw driver and some arm work to drive the screws into the legs of the stool. Overall I got the whole thing set up in about 30-40 minutes.

The wood is a handsome deep cherry.The construction is solid and quite steady.The stools are sturdy as well and comfortable to sit on.The brown leather of the stool seats is quite soft and nicely textured.

Drawbacks to the table include that it isn't wide enough to fit two normally sized placemats across from each other.The short end of the table top is wide enough to fit a normal sized place mat but is uncomfortable for sitting at either end because of the bars which run vertically to support the table.

Overall this is a fantastic little table for a New York apartment. Definitely worth the $120 or so price tag.

So I assumed that they didnt place the order and I was going to cancel it. Then the money was taken out of my account after the last due date. Thankfully I still had it in my account. The product arrived with little chips on the corner. The product was very tricky to put together and the screw holes werent alligned that well. The finished product was more then I expected thats why it gets a 3 and not a two. Seller not great product worth it.
