It fits perfectly with my style and amount of space in my apartment.I really like that it can stay small enough for just my wife and I but can expand to seat up to 6 (if you have enough chairs, obviously) and I like that the leaf is underneith and self-contained.Unfortunately, it took amazon 3 tries to send me an undamaged piece.Twice I was sent damaged products (dent on top, smashed corner) and the box is about 100 pounds so returning it was more difficult.Also, I highly recomend either using a table cloth or getting a piece of glass to go on top because the top smudges easily.

(More customer reviews)We bought this table to have in our eat-in kitchen. I needed a certain size the fit the space and this one fit the bill. The table seats 6 without the leaf and 8 with the leaf. It was well packaged and had no damage except for one dot on one corner where the finish had come off. Because of this, I noticed that the finish seems to be painted on, not stained. Just looking at it, you would never know, but the chip revealed natural colored wood. I just used a marker to cover the spot and you can't even see it. The table is HEAVY. The latches that hold the table together with or without the leaf are high quality. Once you close them, there is no way the table will shift apart. The finish of the table really looks beautiful. Assembly was a cinch - just attach the legs. It is definitely worth the money and I am very happy with this table!

(More customer reviews)This is a very pretty counter height dining table and chairs.I was very happy that the color was more of a rich darker color than shown in the picture.I took a snapshot with flash of the set after it was put together, and it showed the same as in the picture on Amazon.If you are looking for a darker wood, do not discount this.It just matches the color and style of my coffee and end tables.I am very pleased with the quality of the set for the price, and I have ordered two more chairs.It took awhile to put it all together, and I had help from my brother.The instructionsare clear, but it doesn't state that you have to place the base a certain direction so that the top of the base pieces fit properly for the holes. Of course, if you look carefully at the picture in the instructions, you can see the direction.Make sure to screw off the plastic end tips on the already placed screws before trying to assemble.The cushions on the chairs are soft and comfortable and a neutral dark taupe.The customer service was outstanding when I emailed them.I got an automatic response they received my email and then I got a personal email later on.

Also, the assembly instructions manual did not come, however, VisonDecor did e-mail it to me within 1 day.

It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!

(More customer reviews)I rarely order "bolt together" furniture, but the cost of a similar looking set at my usual furniture store (offering 'underprices') was nearly double, so I took a chance and ordered this 5-pce contemporary dining set to replace a traditional-style oak set.A day or 2 after order placement, I received a call to confirm my order and provide delivery details.The set arrived on time (within 7-10 days of order).After carefully removing each piece from the double box and impact foam it was packed in, I noticed a couple of minor blemishes caused by movement during shipping. Fortunately, the blemishes are in places that aren't noticeable after assembly.The set is made entirely of furniture-grade hardwood (no cheap particle board) and the parts bolt or screw together.Assembly took me 2 hours at a relaxed pace.All hardware (nuts, bolts & washers) and an Allen wrench is included.Additionally, for assembly, you'll need a Phillips head screwdriver and (optional) wood glue for the dowels. I've been using the set for several days and am pleased with it.Only negative comment I have it with respect to the screws used to fasten the seating pads, which I found to be too long.The instructions call for use of 1-1/2" screws (incl.), but, when screwed down, these can be felt when sitting...OUCH!Fortunately, I pushed down on the seating pad with my hand and felt the sharp screw before I made the mistake of sitting on it.I ended up using the shorter screws (incl.) for affixing the seating pads and the 1-1/2" screws to fasten the stretchers to the front and rear legs of the stools, which is the reverse of what the instructions tell you to do.An easy fix.Compared to other similar looking, comparably priced, but sometimes lesser quality sets I saw, this 5 pce set represents a very good investment, which I'm confident will provide years of reliable service and will hold up to daily use by my family of 4.
