(More customer reviews)This is a very pretty counter height dining table and chairs.I was very happy that the color was more of a rich darker color than shown in the picture.I took a snapshot with flash of the set after it was put together, and it showed the same as in the picture on Amazon.If you are looking for a darker wood, do not discount this.It just matches the color and style of my coffee and end tables.I am very pleased with the quality of the set for the price, and I have ordered two more chairs.It took awhile to put it all together, and I had help from my brother.The instructionsare clear, but it doesn't state that you have to place the base a certain direction so that the top of the base pieces fit properly for the holes. Of course, if you look carefully at the picture in the instructions, you can see the direction.Make sure to screw off the plastic end tips on the already placed screws before trying to assemble.The cushions on the chairs are soft and comfortable and a neutral dark taupe.The customer service was outstanding when I emailed them.I got an automatic response they received my email and then I got a personal email later on.

My husband had to assemble all the pieces but it seems to be very sturdy and I couldn't be happier with my new dining set. Certainly will accommodate 8 quest comfortably.

(More customer reviews)The table and chairs look nice and my husband had no trouble putting them together.The color was almost exactly what it looked like online.The problem is that the wood is so soft that when you write directly on the table, it marks it.We have solved the problem by getting a custom glass top made, but we definitely hadn't planned on doing that.If you have kids, I definitely would NOT recommend this table (unless you want to spend some extra cash on a glass top).

(More customer reviews)I rarely order "bolt together" furniture, but the cost of a similar looking set at my usual furniture store (offering 'underprices') was nearly double, so I took a chance and ordered this 5-pce contemporary dining set to replace a traditional-style oak set.A day or 2 after order placement, I received a call to confirm my order and provide delivery details.The set arrived on time (within 7-10 days of order).After carefully removing each piece from the double box and impact foam it was packed in, I noticed a couple of minor blemishes caused by movement during shipping. Fortunately, the blemishes are in places that aren't noticeable after assembly.The set is made entirely of furniture-grade hardwood (no cheap particle board) and the parts bolt or screw together.Assembly took me 2 hours at a relaxed pace.All hardware (nuts, bolts & washers) and an Allen wrench is included.Additionally, for assembly, you'll need a Phillips head screwdriver and (optional) wood glue for the dowels. I've been using the set for several days and am pleased with it.Only negative comment I have it with respect to the screws used to fasten the seating pads, which I found to be too long.The instructions call for use of 1-1/2" screws (incl.), but, when screwed down, these can be felt when sitting...OUCH!Fortunately, I pushed down on the seating pad with my hand and felt the sharp screw before I made the mistake of sitting on it.I ended up using the shorter screws (incl.) for affixing the seating pads and the 1-1/2" screws to fasten the stretchers to the front and rear legs of the stools, which is the reverse of what the instructions tell you to do.An easy fix.Compared to other similar looking, comparably priced, but sometimes lesser quality sets I saw, this 5 pce set represents a very good investment, which I'm confident will provide years of reliable service and will hold up to daily use by my family of 4.

I had not found anything that came close to the elegant look of this set, especially for such a low price. After coming back to Amazon to look at this listing over and over again, I finally decided to order it. I had so many worries about purchasing furniture based only on how good it appeared in the online photos. Also, there were no customer reviews. I wondered if the chairs would be flimsy, cheaply made & scary to sit on? What if the table was wobbly? Would the granite top be less than impressive in real-life?... Well I'm very pleased to report that the answer to all of these questions is, emphatically, "NO!!" These pieces are heavy, sturdy, substantial and just absolutely gorgeous. (More customer reviews)Ordered this item and received it very quickly, within 5 business days.Shipping was free which is quite outstanding for such a large and heavy item.Seller shipped the original box within another heavily padded box, thus ensuring no exterior damage to table.

The table itself is gorgeous.Highly polished, very substantial wood.This seller had the cheapest price by far that I could find on the internet for this table.Although the quality of the manufacturer is known as on the higher end, in light of the price, I thought this would be a cheaply made item and crossed my fingers that it would at least look presentable and serve it's purpose.

On the contrary, the construction is first rate.The wood is first rate.The table looks much more expensive than what I paid.In fact, we purchased this table to replace a very large table we purchased at Macy's for over $1000.00 and the wood really looks very similar and construction is very similar as well!

All and all, extremely happy with the table and the seller and would definitely purchase similar item from same seller again in the future.

(More customer reviews)I was very excited when I saw this set on Amazon.It was a great price and looked to be exactly what I wanted.I ordered the set on Sept. 5th, 2009.As of today, October 6th, I still have not recieved it.I have been tracking the package and it seems to making its way towards my house, but VERY SLOWLY!!I am still hopeful that I will receive it and it will be of good quaility.Just beware that you will not get this item on the date that amazon projects.I will update this review once I get the item.
UPDATE:I did recive my order.It was about 2 months after the fact that it finally arrived but I got it.So far I am pleased with the product.My one complaint was the delivery of it.VisionDecor had emailed me and told me that I needed to go through the entire contents of the boxes before I signed off on the delivery.If I didn't and something was missing or damaged they would not send replacements.It was delivered at about 8 at night and the delivery men were very rude.They would not stay for us to look everything over.When we didn't sign the papers right away they made comments like "we don't get paid enough to stand around here while you look through each box"THat comment was made several times.After quickly looking through the boxes we signed so they could leave.
Luckily it appears that we recieved everything we needed.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this table on Sunday, June 13th and received it on Monday, June 21st.It came earlier than expected!!We put together 6 of the chairs and it took about 2 hours to do this.The table only had to have the legs attached and that was easy.We left the other 2 chairs in the box because we really didn't need them right now.It's a nice table and I'm happy with it....no reason to send it back.There are a couple of tiny places on the chairs and table that need touch up.I'm sure a black marker will suffice, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.There is a spot on the top of the table that is a little groove or scratched, a marker won't fix that because of the indention, but here again it wasn't worth sending it back.The next table could have been worse.I have looked at and shopped for enough furniture to know that nothing is perfect, and that all furniture is going to have some dings or scratches.It just depends on what you are willing to deal with.I am glad we ordered this table, you just cannot find a black dining set with this many chairs anywhere in my area.It was inevitable....we had to order off the internet.I am scared to do that lots of times, as I have had bad experiences in the past.This was a good experience for us and EXACTLY the table & chairs we wanted and needed!Really enjoy it!!

(More customer reviews)I was worried about ordering a table online without actually seeing it in a store first but this table is everything I hoped it would be.We were looking for the perfect gathering table that could also double as a dining table since our place is limited in size and this fit the bill perfectly.It seats eight comfortably and is great for company.The assembly wasn't difficult but does take a little time, especially since you have to build all the chairs too.The Lazy Susan is very modern and looks gorgeous. The storage in the bottom is great for wine andstemware.It is a heavy table and solidly built.Make sure you have a few people to help you carry it inside. I would highly recommend this table to anyone. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of all the assembly required.
