(More customer reviews)The stools are exactly what they looked like in the picture.The color matches my table perfectly.My only complaint would be the small knobs that go in each leg to cover the screw holes, fall out once in awhile.There was nothing in the instructions saying to hammer them in or anything, but just pressing them in the hole doesn't seem to do the right job.

Powell Color Story Schoolhouse-Style Counter Stool, Crimson Red Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a set of 4 and 3 of them had pretty big nics out of them.I was able to mix and match pieces and end up with 3 pretty good stools.The last one I returned and recieved a replacement with minimal nics.

The nics don't seem to be a result of packaging and seem, in my opion, to have been packaged that way.I wondered if the were seconds.

If you don't mind the nics, they are sturdy and I LOVE the color!

(More customer reviews)I thought these were a little expensive, up until the point they arrived. The come fully assembled at the factory and they are built SOLID! These are made of solid walnut (all around) and have a beautiful finish. This is definitely not some cheap ass bar stool. I have a feeling they will be just as sturdy ten years from now. I guess this company that makes these also makes some other high end furnature too. I ended up getting free shipping from Amazon, so considering how much these weight, it's a pretty good deal.

(More customer reviews)These stools look great, were well packaged and easy to put together.And a great price to boot!I chose these stools because the style and color match my dining room table perfectly.Also, since they are very shallow, I can push them under the counter and they stay out of the way.Our previous stools were more like chairs with backs, and they took up a lot of room and we were constantly shifting them to get by.(They were also too short for our bar-height counter, but that is another story...)

As one reviewer previously mentioned, when you are unpacking the contents of the box, be sure to look for the red dots on the legs.The legs of the stool are packaged two together - both legs with red dots are in the same bag.The red dots ensure that the holes for the cross bars are facing the right way.I was surprised at how small the box was.It comes with an allen wrench and a total of 12 screws.I think it took about 10-15 minutes to read the directions and put the first one together.

One thing I wish I had thought about was the "feet".We have dark wood floors which show every little scratch, and I should have bought some felt pads for these at the same time.For now, I taped some of the the soft packing material under the bottom of the legs :)
